1. What we collect
- Contact details — name, business name, email, phone, suburb when you submit an enquiry, book a review, or use one of our tools (Cyber Risk Quiz, M365 Calculator, Domain Checker, etc.).
- Service data — information you provide so we can quote or deliver IT support, including approximate user counts, current systems, and existing pain points.
- Technical data — IP address, browser, device, pages visited and referring site, collected via standard web analytics.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (health, religion, etc.) through this website.
2. How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry, deliver quotes, and provide ongoing IT services.
- To send relevant follow-ups about IT support, security advisories, and service updates you've asked about.
- To improve the website and our service offering.
- To meet legal, accounting, and tax record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. Ever.
3. Disclosure
We only share personal information with:
- Our staff and contractors bound by confidentiality, where needed to deliver the service you've engaged us for.
- Trusted vendors that power our platform (e.g. Microsoft 365, our cPanel hosting provider, our CRM and email systems). These providers are bound by their own privacy obligations.
- Law enforcement or regulatory bodies if required by Australian law.
4. Where your data is stored
Personal information collected through this site is stored on Australian-hosted infrastructure (cPanel hosting in Australia plus Microsoft 365 Australian data centres) wherever practical. Some cloud providers may process metadata internationally; in those cases we ensure they offer protection at least equivalent to the APPs.
5. Security
We apply commercially reasonable safeguards including TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, MFA on all administrative accounts, least-privilege access control, regular patching, and offline backups. No system is perfectly secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted to or from our site.
6. Cookies & analytics
We use a small number of first-party cookies (and similar local-storage entries) to remember your theme preference, hold your cookie-consent choice, and provide aggregated visitor analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time; some site functionality (e.g. dark mode persistence) may be limited if you do.
7. Accessing or correcting your information
You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time by emailing Info@IppyIT.com.au or calling 1300 250 319. We aim to respond within 30 days.
8. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the APPs, please contact us first using the details above. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can escalate to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or 1300 363 992.
